Referred to as “the last perfect place in California”, the Dangermond Preserve is one of the last remaining stretches of wild coast in California. The sprawling 24,000-acre preserve is located at Point Conception in Santa Barbara, CA and it is a living laboratory that facilitates scientific research and environmental education.
NatureBridge is honored to be the recipient of a $25,000 gift from Bank of the West for our 50th anniversary celebration. With its most recent donation, Bank of the West has now given over $120,000 to support NatureBridge’s environmental education programs within the national parks.
NatureBridge received a $15,000 grant from Dominion Energy to support distance learning programs for schools and students in virtual settings. Funds will support program participation for Virginia students in financial need, providing the opportunity for kids to learn about the unique ecosystems and natural history of Prince William Forest Park, the largest protected natural area in the Washington, DC metropolitan region.
Each summer, NatureBridge—the largest nonprofit educational partner of the National Park Service—leads one- and two-week environmental science programs through some of the United States’ most beautiful protected lands.
NatureBridge is proud to join 12 of the nation’s leading youth programs to launch the Be a Champion, #InvestInKids campaign to raise awareness and increase support for youth programs across the country.
Selected as a PolarTREC educator, NatureBridge's Amy Osborne heads to Antarctica where she will join Dr. Amy Moran and her team of field research scientists from the University of Hawaii at McMurdo Station.
