Prince William Forest Park, VA– NatureBridge, the largest education partner of the National Park Service, is excited to announce the inaugural year of Forest Camp, a summer camp experience for grades 2-6 in Northern Virginia. This unique program celebrates over 12 years of collaboration with Prince William Forest Park and the National Park Service, and a shared commitment to fostering a connection between young people and the natural world.

Forest Camp offers participants hands-on learning opportunities, blending environmental science, team-building, and outdoor adventures in the park's stunning Piedmont forests. The program continues NatureBridge’s legacy of impactful outdoor educational initiatives, which have connected more than 1.6 million students to national parks since 1971.

“We’re excited to get kids out in this amazing park so they can discover, laugh, learn, and play together. And if they can do that while being inspired to care for their environment? That’s an even bigger win.” said Phillip Kilbridge, President & CEO of NatureBridge.

Why Forest Camp Stands Out:

  • Proven Expertise: With the success of Coastal Camp in the San Francisco Bay Area, which serves nearly 200 campers weekly, NatureBridge continues to offer families unforgettable and enriching outdoor experiences for kids.
  • National Reach: As the largest education partner of the National Park Service, NatureBridge runs programs in four iconic national park campuses across the U.S., combining science education with real-world learning.
  • Local Impact: Forest Camp builds on a 12+ year partnership with Prince William Forest Park, bringing new outdoor learning experiences to the D.C. Metro Area’s largest green space.
  • Forest Camp’s launch highlights NatureBridge’s dedication to providing immersive, science-based programs in national parks, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to connect with nature and become a steward of the environment.
