If you were to ask any NatureBridge employee what some of their favorite things about working with our organization are, you’d undoubtedly hear about the kids, the programs, and the impact we make daily. But without fail, the most common response to that question is “the people.” Anyone who’s spent even an afternoon with a group of NatureBridge employees leaves with a brand new group of friends and a ton of laughs and stories. This all rings true for our Director of Development Operations, Jen Laughtion. Visit our blog to learn about Jen’s nearly six years with NatureBridge and the lasting relationships she’s built along the way.
On May 12, over 400 of our closest friends came together to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary on our beautiful Golden Gate campus. From educator-led activities to campus tours to a farm to table dinner with inspiring guest speakers, it was a night to remember. It was also a major fundraising success, bringing in over $915,000 in critical funding to ensure all four NatureBridge campuses continue serving kids for the next 50 years and beyond.
Dr. Stephen H. Lockhart goes by another name to many of those within NatureBridge: The Steve Lockhart. Steve is one of the most accomplished anesthesiologists in his field and his conservation efforts have earned him numerous distinctions, including being named a Champion of Change by the Obama Administration. He serves and has served on numerous boards, including REI and Molina Healthcare, and recently started Sutter Health Institute for Advancing Health Equity.
