Due to the worsening Ferguson Fire in Yosemite National Park, our 2018 Yosemite Alcoa Scholars are headed to Olympic National Park.

On International Women’s Day, we recognize the women who help make the world a better place. Those who inspire others to be courageous, to follow their hopes and dreams, to be brave in the face of adversity.

I'm confident that our 2017 Yosemite Alcoa Scholars have gone back to their homes with a unique perspective on life and how they will live their own as enlightened young adults equipped to take the world by storm. 

After spending the first half of the week in Crane Flat, our Alcoa Scholars headed to the backcountry of Yosemite to explore the wilderness.
