Dr. Sylvia Earle to Speak at An Evening Outside with NatureBridge

NatureBridge is thrilled to announce Dr. Sylvia Earle as our guest speaker at An Evening Outside with NatureBridge, our annual fundraising event on May 11, 2023. This event will be held on our campus at Golden Gate Recreational Area where we will spend an unforgettable evening celebrating the stewards of today!

Dr. Earle is the Founder and President of Mission Blue and a National Geographic Explorer at Large. She is called "Her Deepness" by the New Yorker and the New York Times, "Living Legend" by the Library of Congress and "First Hero for the Planet" by Time Magazine. She is an oceanographer, explorer, author and lecturer with a lifetime of experience as a field research scientist, government official and director for corporate and non-profit organizations. 

Dr. Earle is the recipient of more than 100 national and international honors and awards including being named Time Magazine’s first “Hero for the Planet” and receiving the title “Living Legend” from the Library of Congress. Dr. Earle is also the subject of the Emmy® Award-winning Netflix documentary, “Mission Blue.” 

On May 11, Dr. Earle will receive NatureBridge’s inaugural Environmentor Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership, mentorship and stewardship of young people around the world. Dr. Earle’s passion and expertise in conservation efforts, as well as her championing of the stewards of the planet, are an inspiration to NatureBridge. We are deeply honored to host Dr. Earle and be inspired by her experiences as a scientist, educator and conservationist.
