With an expert NatureBridge educator as your guide, we will go on an exciting journey to Yosemite National Park and explore the unique ecosystems of the park with a focus on its landscapes, organisms and the history of the people who have called Yosemite home for thousands of years. We’ll soar to the tops of granite peaks and dive deep into canyons to discover life zones across 11,000 feet of elevation.
We’ll answer questions like: What do you think it takes to survive a year in wild Yosemite? To answer this question, learners will be challenged to think critically about adaptations that can help organisms gather food, water and shelter. Using this adaptation knowledge, we’ll play a rousing game of Adaptation Showdown that concludes with each group designing their own creative organism!
