Marketing and Communications Contractor

NatureBridge is seeking an independent Marketing and Communications Contractor with strong writing and basic design skills to support communications strategies targeting school customers, donors and supporters. Ideal candidates have experience with content strategy and creation for the web and social media. We are currently open to contractors that can work remotely in the United States. Initial contract will be for a three month term with potential to renew.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities #

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Copywriter, creating content for email, web, social media, blogs, press releases, marketing and fundraising collateral, etc.
  • Coordinate, edit and proofread written contributions from others (staff, supporters, program participants) while adhering to NatureBridge brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with Development and Sales teams to understand business objectives and translate into actionable content strategies
  • Assist in the creation and management of the editorial calendar
  • Build and execute email campaigns with Delivera
  • Partner with contract support to manage search engine optimization strategies
  • Publish content on naturebridge.org and other web properties
  • Deliver regular analytical reporting and initiatives to grow social media, web and email audience and engagement
  • Perform basic graphic design tasks using Indesign

Social Media

  • Lead, develop and execute an effective social media strategy to engage supporters
  • Plan and maintain the social posting calendar for active platforms. Proactively seek out new ideas through cross-departmental collaboration. Stay close to best practices for social media to try new posts or concepts on different platforms.
  • Own content production from beginning to end. Publish & schedule all posts and make changes to scheduling as required
  • Boost posts & manage social media advertising budget
  • Research and identify potential partners 
  • Actively participate in conversations with our community on social media, increasing engagement levels and improving loyalty/advocacy
  • Conduct quarterly analytical reporting to show trends, provide insights and optimize strategy

Additional Duties

  • Support process of ordering and billing NatureBridge promotional materials
  • Administrative support, as needed

Qualifications #

  • Existing business as Independent Contractor, with ability to submit W9 and invoice for billable hours
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in content creation, social media strategy and execution and digital
    Marketing
  • Can commit 20-40 hours a week
  • Experience with digital/social media campaign
  • Basic Graphic Design skills and competence with Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
