San Francisco, CA — NatureBridge is proud to announce that its longtime partner, Pacific Gas and Electric Company, the primary funder of The PG&E Corporation Foundation (the "Foundation"), has awarded the organization a $10,000 grant to support access to Environmental Education at our Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Yosemite National Park campuses.

With a commitment to working together with the communities it serves to build a better California, the Foundation fosters long-lasting partnerships with local schools and nonprofits to help create a more vibrant and diverse state. The Foundation supports programs designed to promote education, environmental stewardship and community vitality, with an emphasis toward underserved populations.

NatureBridge provides hands-on environmental science programs for children and teens. Multi-day programs take place outdoors in the wonder of nature’s classroom, where students are immersed in the wonder and science of our national parks in Yosemite, Golden Gate, Olympic and Prince William Forest.

Founded as Yosemite Institute in 1971, today NatureBridge welcomes more than 700 schools and 30,000 students and teachers each year. After nearly 50 years of teaching and inspiring students, NatureBridge has provided life-changing experiences for more than 1 million participants and is a national leader in the field of environmental education.
