San Francisco, CA—NatureBridge is thrilled to announce that we have been honored with 1% for the Planet’s Partnership of 2018 Award in recognition of our long-standing partnership with Klean Kanteen.

The award, celebrating one long-term 1% for the Planet nonprofit and business member partnership, was part of the organization’s first annual People for the Planet Awards. It was presented to Klean Kanteen at this year’s annual Global Summit on April 4 in Portland, Oregon.

To keep single-use waste from trashing the world, Klean Kanteen creates stainless steel, BPA-free, reusable water bottles and products. Since 2008, Klean Kanteen has supported our mission of connecting young people to the wonder and science of the natural world, igniting self-discovery and inspiring stewardship of our planet.

With a shared vision for environmental stewardship and a collaboration stretching more than a decade, we’re proud to partner with Klean Kanteen to model sustainability in the field, in our offices and at our events.

Voting was open to the general public and shared through 1% for the Planet’s social media channels. Thousands of votes were cast to nominate the organizations and individuals making a difference in several categories.

Recipients of People for the Planet Awards in other categories include Alyned Together, Tidal New York, Faherty Brand, Surfrider Foundation, ByFusion, Chris “Webby” Webster, Patagonia, Grounds for Change and Jack Johnson, among others.
