San Francisco, CA — NatureBridge is proud to announce the receipt of a $5,000 grant to support scholarships at our Golden Gate campus from the Harbor Point Charitable Foundation.
The mission of the Harbor Point Charitable Foundation is to fund and facilitate the most promising organizations aimed at improving the quality of life for Bay Area adults and children in need. Their focus is two-fold: To support innovative organizations dedicated to serving those adults and children experiencing a current health crisis; and to support educational, arts, athletic and nutritional programs at Bay Area institutions demonstrating a steadfast commitment to our children’s future. NatureBridge provides hands-on environmental science programs for children and teens. Our multi-day programs take place outdoors in the magnificence of nature’s classroom, where students are immersed in the wonder and science of our national parks in Yosemite, Golden Gate, Olympic, Santa Monica Mountains, Channel Islands and Prince William Forest.
Founded as Yosemite Institute in 1971, today NatureBridge welcomes more than 700 schools and 35,000 students and teachers each year. After more than 45 years of teaching and inspiring students, NatureBridge has provided life-changing experiences for more than 1 million participants and is a national leader in the field of environmental education.
