Our dorm-style accommodations enable group bonding and give your retreat participants the chance to sleep in historic buildings surrounded by nature and the sounds of the ocean.
Main Dorms
Our main dorms are furnished with bunk beds (bedding not included) and have carpet and central heating. Bathroom facilities are within the building and have private showers (toiletries not included) and a washer/dryer.
Our main dorms are typically separated by gender and may be shared by multiple groups. Equity and inclusion is very important to our organization but our campus has limited options for non-binary gender accommodations. If your group requires non-binary gender accommodations, please discuss available options with our team.
Semi-private Rooms
For guests who require more privacy, we offer up to five semi-private rooms in each of our main dorms. Each room sleeps 4-6 guests and bathroom facilities are shared with guests staying in the main dorm area (bedding and toiletries not included). Semi-private rooms are available at an additional cost per room, per night.
Raven Dorm
For groups with a maximum of 45 guests, our Raven Building is the perfect space for privacy and productivity (bedding and toiletries not included). Overnight groups staying in our two-story Raven Building enjoy their accommodations and a conference room under one roof. This space is ideal for groups who require co-ed or non-gender binary accommodations.

Thank you so much for choosing to host your conference with us in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. We’ve put together the resources you need to streamline the planning process.
Contact our reservations team! We will work with you to review available dates and work with you to plan a package that fits your group’s specific needs. A signed contract and 25% deposit are required to book your reservation. Full balance and proof of insurance are due a month before your event takes place.
Click ‘Request Information’ to tell us about what you’re planning!
Because the group’s confirmed reservation creates a series of commitments which NatureBridge must make (i.e. turning away other groups, scheduling staff, ordering food, etc.), we are unable to refund deposits. Groups cancelling within 90-days of their scheduled event, are responsible for the full balance of the program.
At NatureBridge, we work to cultivate a community of learning and collaboration. Our dorms are typically shared by all groups on site and are gender-separated by building. Our main dorms sleep approximately 60-70 people each. Beds are twin-sized bunk beds, and we ask participants to provide their own bedding. Groups can expect to have participants from other groups sharing the same dorm rooms and bathrooms. Bathrooms have private stalls and individual showers (guests bring their own toiletries).
Our dining hall serves fresh, delicious meals buffet-style. Meal times are set, so be sure to plan your retreat so you can be on time. Check out our sample menu for an idea of what you’ll be enjoying while with us. At NatureBridge, the dining hall is also a shared space with other groups on campus. Seating is open for all groups, and we ask all participants to bus their own tables.
NatureBridge is dedicated to providing a safe dining experience for our guests. We are pleased to be able to accommodate several dietary restrictions. Please see our Dietary Restrictions sheet for more information.
Free, wireless internet is provided across our entire campus for participants. Please note that we cannot fully guarantee the availability of internet access due to the possibility of bad weather or unforeseen technical issues here at our remote beach location. If an issue arises, we will strive to fix it as quickly as possible.
Cell phone coverage is spotty in the Marin Headlands. NatureBridge provides free wireless internet access for our guests. Additionally, each meeting room has its own landline telephone for guests to use.
Because our campus serves school groups throughout much of the year, we restrict alcohol on site. Group Coordinators can arrange to bring beer and/or wine with our conference team. Sorry, no hard alcohol is permitted. Beer and/or wine can be stored and consumed in meeting rooms only.
We are located in a remote area of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Public transportation is limited and may not be available every day or from your area. Arriving by carpool is the best way to reach us. Uber, Lyft, Western Eagle Shuttle, and Marin Door-to-Door have also been used by our guests in the past, but please check availability with any company before booking about their ability to reach our site.
Transportation time from the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is approximately 45 to 90 minutes by car or bus depending on traffic.
NatureBridge has two parking lots on campus. Overflow parking is also available near the lagoon and in the public parking lot near the beach, as well as between our campus and the Marine Mammal Center. Take a look at our Maps and Directions Sheet for the parking lot nearest your meeting room.
The Marin Headlands: The Marin Headlands offers a variety of activities for everybody in your group including hiking, scenic drives, beach access, and more. Our staff is happy to recommend a few hikes for your group!
Sausalito: The town nearest to our campus is Sausalito. A delightful, bayside community, Sausalito has several restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, gift shops, and other places to treat your retreat participants or pick-up essentials forgotten at home.
Marine Mammal Center: Docent-Led Tours are ideal for individuals and families (9 people or fewer) that want to learn more about the work of the Center. If your group has 10 people or more, please email learn@tmmc.org to inquire about large-group experiences held at the Center.
Naturalist Programs with NatureBridge: As a part of your NatureBridge retreat, you can schedule a Naturalist program led by our exceptional educators. NatureBridge’s trained Naturalists are prepared to lead you on hikes (from easy to adventurous), teach you about the wildlife and plants of the Marin Headlands, or bring your group together with team-building activities.
