Join NatureBridge, Outward Bound, and Partnerships in Education and Resilience (PEAR) for a dynamic virtual panel exploring the benefits of outdoor education and what students experience when they reconnect with the natural world. Reflecting on Outward Bound's recent campaign, The Reset (a day dedicated to trading screen time for in-person connection), we’re excited to dig deeper into why outdoor experiences matter now more than ever. Experts in the field, including NatureBridge's National Director of Education, Meg Jakubowski, will add their perspectives to the conversation, enriching the discussion with broader research and real-world context.

Led by moderator Katie Dalbey, Outward Bound USA’s Director of Learning and Evaluation, we'll share fresh findings, student reflections, and emerging insights around confidence, belonging, and well-being. Together with voices from across the field, we’ll explore what the data is telling us and why it matters. You’ll walk away with a clearer picture of why outdoor learning works, and practical ideas for bringing “reset” moments into classrooms, homes, and communities.

Panelists:

  • Katie Dalbey (Moderator), Director of Learning and Evaluation, Outward Bound USA
  • Meg Jakubowski, National Director of Education, NatureBridge
  • Dawn McDaniel, PhD, Senior Consultant, Partnerships in Education and Resilience (PEAR)
