Summer Programs

On Friday, our 16 Scholars traveled to the National Park Service's National Capitol Region office to present their science investigations. The presentations covered a range of topics from plant and animal life in the park, to questions about the chemistry of the streams, and even the effects of rain on group morale!

I'm confident that our 2017 Yosemite Alcoa Scholars have gone back to their homes with a unique perspective on life and how they will live their own as enlightened young adults equipped to take the world by storm. 

After spending the first half of the week in Crane Flat, our Alcoa Scholars headed to the backcountry of Yosemite to explore the wilderness.
