We had a wonderful time connecting with local educators at our recent Teacher Open House in Bellevue, WA! Hosted by NatureBridge at The Studio in Lincoln Square, the evening brought together 45 passionate teachers, educators, and board and community members to learn how they can bring their students on an unforgettable outdoor science adventure in Olympic National Park.

As the evening kicked off, attendees gathered to enjoy refreshments, explore the space, and engage in meaningful conversations about the value of experiential learning and environmental education. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—perfect for sparking new ideas and connections among educators dedicated to bringing hands-on science into their classrooms.

Teachers had the chance to interact with a live science station, offering a glimpse into the type of engaging, inquiry-based fieldwork students experience during a NatureBridge program. From using scientific tools to observing ecological phenomena, this activity highlighted how our programs help students become curious, confident learners in the outdoors.

Our team shared an overview of NatureBridge’s transformative environmental science programs in Olympic National Park, where students explore old-growth forests, mountain streams, and coastal ecosystems while developing critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills. The presentation included practical guidance on planning a trip—from curriculum integration to scholarships and fundraising support.

We wrapped up the night with a lively Q&A session, some great raffle prizes and swag, and plenty of enthusiasm for future outdoor learning adventures. We're so grateful to the educators who joined us and look forward to seeing many of you in the field with your students soon!

If you missed the event, we’d still love to connect. Reach out to learn how a NatureBridge program in Olympic National Park can support your teaching goals and inspire your students through science and nature. Be sure to check out our Events page for future teacher nights in your area!
