Michael Pereira is Executive Vice President, Group Head of Wealth Management for Bank of the West, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas. He is also a member of Bank of the West's Executive Management Committee.
Prior to leading Wealth Management, Michael headed the bank’s Growth Acceleration team, charged with driving growth and managing key initiatives across all lines of business, including advanced analytics capabilities, performance management, as well as enterprise-wide line of business initiatives focused on growing the company and its customer base. He continues to oversee Growth Acceleration in an interim capacity.
Michael's career with the BNPP Group has covered projects/assignments in India and China, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the US involving 4 of the Banks Lines of Business. Before joining BOW he has actively worked on the creation of JVs in the auto finance space notably Genius AFC, the joint venture with the Chinese Geely Group and the recent acquisition of Opel Vauxhall Finance Europe.
Michael is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce.
