Matthew (Andy) Baxter has a deep connection to serving the NatureBridge community. In 1997, he started the Matthew A. Baxter, III Memorial Fund to honor the memory of NatureBridge Yosemite educator, Matt Baxter. Each year, the Baxter Award is granted to a NatureBridge staff member to promote personal growth and adventure. He also serves on the board of the Lyme Land Conservation Trust as treasurer, is director and treasurer of the Florence Griswold Museum and the Endowment Board of Vista Vocational, and is a founding trustee of the Cunniff-Dixon Foundation.
Andy is retired and resides in Lyme, Connecticut and New York City. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Yale University and received a Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
