Happy Earth Day everyone! I hope that you are finding ways to enjoy your environment today and everyday hereafter.

Led by educator Brenda Ramirez, 8th grade students from Alliance Skirball Middle School embarked on a quest to solve the mystery, "Does soil type affect plant biodiversity?"

Going into my day with a NatureBridge educator at our Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) campus, I had no idea what to expect! Here are five things I learned about the Marin Headlands, the history of GGNRA, and most of all, what it truly means to be a part of NatureBridge. 

The Drift Card study helps our students better understand the ocean currents that are an integral part of our local marine ecosystem. Results from Spring 2016 are starting to come in, including one card found in Sitka, Alaska!
