NatureBridge Welcomes Over 325 Prince William County Students for Hands-On Field Science Explorations

This fall, NatureBridge's Prince William Forest campus welcomed over 325 students from six Prince William County Schools. Students conducted hands-on field science experiments, developed important social and emotional skills working with their peers, engaged in personal reflection and stayed overnight in NatureBridge’s historic cabins. The students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and gain practical knowledge through experiential learning. This hands-on approach not only deepened their understanding of scientific concepts but also fostered teamwork, personal growth and resilience.
 
NatureBridge has a long-standing commitment to providing transformative educational experiences to students. Over the past 10 years, NatureBridge’s Prince William Forest campus has welcomed over 3,500 PWCS students from 14 different schools. NatureBridge is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections between young learners and the natural world. By providing access to NatureBridge’s campus and their highly-trained educators, NatureBridge aims to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards and kindle a love for science and the outdoors.
 
By expanding their partnerships with local Prince William County public schools, NatureBridge can reach a larger number of students and make a greater impact on their educational journey. NatureBridge is committed to supporting the community and offering enriching experiences that promote curiosity, critical thinking and a deeper connection to the environment.
