Wilderness Medicine Training in Yosemite National Park

NatureBridge partners with the NOLS Wilderness Medicine  to offer Wilderness First Responder Recertification courses. These are nationally recognized training courses that provide students with tools to respond to emergencies that arise in remote settings.

Hybrid Wilderness First Responder Recertification with NOLS Wilderness Medicine

Course Summary: This scenario-based course is designed as review and practice of evacuation and decision making guidelines. It also provides current updates in the wilderness medicine field.  Learning takes place both in the classroom and in outdoor settings regardless of weather conditions. This hybrid format will involve testing and online review prior to the start of the course. See the NOLS website for a detailed course description.

Prerequisites: You must possess a current WFR certification of at least 70 hours to recertify through a WFR Recertification course. It is your responsibility to make sure that your certification meets this standard. If you are unsure, please review the NOLS WIlderness Medicine prerequisite policy before enrolling in a course.
