NatureBridge environmental science educators are skilled professionals. The quality and integrity of our programs demands it. We welcome applications by individuals of all backgrounds for environmental science educator positions.

Please note the specific hiring windows and learn more about applying to work in one of our locations below. 

The Yosemite campus typically hires for environmental science educator positions once per year. Open positions are posted in January with a deadline to apply by February 15. Occasionally there are opportunities to apply mid-season. We will update this posting if we're hiring mid-school year. Environmental science educator positions in Yosemite typically run from late August through mid-June.

The Golden Gate campus typically hires for environmental science educator positions once a year. We will post open positions in mid-January with a deadline to apply by March 15. Our Environmental Science program season begins at the end of August and goes to mid-June.

While most of our positions are full-time, we do occasionally have part-time and on-call positions available. 

We partner with the National Park Service, and many of our educators work and live in the national park in beautiful Marin Headlands. Just 10 minutes from San Francisco but a world away!

Environmental Science Educator positions in Olympic typically run from early February through mid-November. This campus also has a few seasonal opportunities in the Spring (February-June) and in the Fall (September-November). Applications for these positions are accepted during the following times. Our campus is located on Lake Crescent in Olympic National Park. 

  • February through mid-November season: Application review process begins October 1 of the prior year
  • Spring season: Application review process begins October 1 of the prior year
  • Fall season: Application review process begins March 1

In Southern California, NatureBridge environmental science educators work in both the Santa Monica Mountains and Channel Islands. Working as an environmental educator in Southern California is a unique opportunity. Please read the complete job description before applying.

Spring and fall season positions are based in Prince William Forest Park and summer positions are based in Shenandoah National Park. Positions are open until filled, with priority consideration given to applications received by the following dates:

  • Summer season, begins in July: priority application deadline April 1
  • Fall season, begins in September: priority application deadline April 1
