North Olympic Watershed (NOW) Science

North Olympic Watershed (NOW) Science programs connect students in the Port Angeles, Sequim, Crescent and Forks school districts with their home watersheds. These programs include in-class visits, day field trips, and residential programs on our campus.

Port Angeles School District
NatureBridge provides programming for every eighth grader at Stevens Middle School. A subset Leadership group goes on field trips early in the school year. Later on, those student leaders assist as their classmates participate in both classroom and environmental curriculum centered on inquiry-based science in the Elwha River Watershed.

Crescent School District
The sixth, seventh, and eighth graders at Crescent School participate in both in-class presentations and field trip programs centered on inquiry-based science in the Elwha River Watershed.

Forks School District
All fifth graders at Forks Elementary School spend a full week at their school with professional NatureBridge educators, focused on the process of science and building a foundation for the science curriculum for the year.
