January

Oceans Aglow: Family Nighthike & Campfire

 
Saturday, January 27, 2018, 5:30 - 8 p.m.
$15 per person
 
 
Join NatureBridge Golden Gate as we discover one of the most amazing natural phenomenon, bioluminescence. We will hike out to Rodeo Beach and explore the sands for twinkling plankton. Where did they come from? Why are they blinking? Are they here all the time? We will try and answer all these and other questions.
 
This program features an Environmental Science Educator-led hike in the Marin Headlands. Our evening hikes are usually no more than 2 miles and allow for fun and learning along the way. After the hike we provide all the necessary supplies for some fun around the campfire including S'more roasting, campfire skits & fun sing alongs!

The Moon and Stars: Astronomy Hike & Campfire

 
Saturday, February 24, 2018: 5:30 - 8 P.M.
$15 per person
 
 
Amazing stargazing! Using binoculars, a spotting scope, and telescopes, we’ll study the face of the moon and learn more about constellations and the night sky. Binoculars will be provided, or bring your favorite pair! Weather may prevent us from actually seeing the moon and stars, but we will still have fun and learn about constellations, the features of the moon, and astronomical myths.
 
This program features an Environmental Science Educator-led hike in the Marin Headlands. Our evening hikes are usually no more than 2 miles and allow for fun and learning along the way. After the hike we provide all the necessary supplies for some fun around the campfire including S'more roasting, campfire skits & fun sing alongs!

Headlands Nightlife: Family Night Hike & Campfire

Explore the mysterious lifestyle of nocturnal animals that start their day just as you're going to bed! Learn about special adaptations that allow owls, bats and other nighttime critters to hunt by moonlight.
 
This program features an Environmental Science Educator-led hike in the Marin Headlands. Our evening hikes are usually no more than 2 miles and allow for fun and learning along the way. After the hike we provide all the necessary supplies for some fun around the campfire including S'more roasting, campfire skits & fun sing alongs!

Art at Sunset: Family Night Hike & Campfire

 
Saturday, April 7, 2018: 6 - 8:30 P.M.

Create sunset-inspired works of art! You and your family will hike to a beautiful vista and make gorgeous, two-dimensional art pieces to remember your evening. NatureBridge will provide the art supplies. After the hike, gather around the campfire for skits, songs and S'mores! Recommended for kids in grades 3 - 6.

* Cell service and GPS systems are unreliable once inside park boundaries, so please take a moment to find our location on a map.

* Children of all ages are welcome. Baby carriers are suggested for children 4 and under. 
* Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
* Registration ends 24 hours prior to event.
