She was introduced to hiking and camping in college and continued to explore the outdoors, learning to rock and ice climb and mountaineer. In addition to climbing, Sophia enjoys biking, snowboarding, surfing, and is currently embarrassing herself trying to learn to ski.  She loves sharing her passion for athletics and the outdoors and has volunteered with Special Olympics, Passages Northwest and the Sierra Club Inner City Outings.
Professionally, Sophia leads the international policy analysis program in environment, health and safety (EH&S) at Boeing, advising the company on environmental policy developments and interfacing with national and regional governments, as well as intergovernmental organizations such as the UN, OECD, and APEC on behalf of the company and industry.
